PayPal allows Ukrainian users to receive funds to help the country in midst of a war

Global online payment and financial tech giant PayPal has recently announced that it will now seamlessly allows payment to receive and send funds to Ukrainian users.

This is a little bit of good news for the people of the war-trodden country who are finding it difficult to carry out their business or maintain their livelihood. Previously, only payments that were made out of the country were allowed but now people of Ukraine can also receive funds from abroad through their accounts.

This significant decision from PayPal comes after a request from the government of Ukraine to allow its citizens to use their services during this tough period. Ukrainian users now can receive funds and can accept any donations coming in from other countries to help them in their predicaments.

Helping the people of Ukraine

Since the war started people from all over the world have been searching for ways to help the country of Ukraine in one way or the other as much as they can. People have been trying to financially support the tough people of Ukraine through online payments and crypto-currencies. Now with PayPal unrestricted its services for Ukrainian accounts, people will mostly be using it as a primary method to help out, in financial regards, as it is a convenient and widely used tool.

Further, PayPal announced that any transactions being made to and from an Ukranian account will have their additional transfer fees waived until June 30. So not only the people physically in Ukraine but Ukrainian refugees in other parts of Europe can make full use of this benefit according to their needs.

PayPal allows cashless and easy transactions and its services are prevalent across almost all countries in Europe. This makes it an ideal decision by PayPal to help either the refuges who are immigrating to an unknown country inside Europe or those who stayed behind to receive some aid. The funds which they receive can then be transferred to their local bank accounts and be used for purchases or any other trades.

In light of this announcement, the Ukrainian vice prime minister has taken to Twitter to thank them for helping the country in its darkest period.
